Sarah Joubert, Co-Managing Director, Principal, Gensler (moderator)

Sarah Joubert is a Co-Managing Director of Gensler’s Tampa office as well as a Studio Director and Senior Design Manager. With more than 15 years of experience with the firm, Sarah combines unparalleled technical expertise with a passion for growing Gensler’s relationships with developers, including the Feil Organization and Highwood Properties. She provides indispensable leadership for a wide range of clients across projects, including Shake Shack, Johnson & Johnson, Stryker, JPMorgan Chase, Jabil, and Starbucks, and acts as a trusted advisor to both her colleagues and clients.

Josh Taube, CEO, Strategic Property Partners

Since June 2023 Josh Taube has been the CEO of Strategic Property Partners - a Cascade Asset Management portfolio company. Prior to his current role, he served as an owner representative, SPP Executive and Board Member. He now oversees the management and operations of Water Street Tampa (a $5B urban mixed-use project), and future growth plans for the Tampa based development company. Prior to joining Cascade, Mr. Taube was a Senior Vice President with the Orlando, FL based REIT platform, CNL Financial Group Inc. Mr. Taube received a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University. Mr. Taube is active in the community and is an incoming member of The Florida Council of 100. He currently sits on the Board for Habitat for Humanity in Hillsborough County, Board of Directors for Tampa Bay EDC, Tampa Chamber of Commerce and the Tampa Bay Partnership Leadership Council.

Darryl Shaw, CEO, Casa Ybor

Darryl has a passion for seeing the Ybor City historic district revitalize back into one of America’s great neighborhoods.

He is the driving force behind Ybor City’s Gas Worx development – a five million square feet mixed-use project that will link downtown Tampa, the Channel District and the Latin Quarter.

Darryl was Co-founder and former Chief Executive Officer of BluePearl Specialty & Emergency Hospital for Pets. He led the company starting in 1996 when he and his brother Neil, a board-certified veterinary internist, opened their first hospital in Tampa. Eventually the pair took BluePearl national, with more than 100 locations. In 2022 Darryl stepped down as CEO to focus solely on Ybor City.

Darryl received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the State of Florida, and was named to the Florida 500, as well the Tampa Bay Power 100 by the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Born in South Africa, Darryl is a graduate of Brown University with a degree in international commerce. He also has an MBA in both finance and marketing from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management, and is a retired Certified Public Accountant.
