In more than 50 years of operation, The Sembler Company has developed more than 325 projects totaling more than 27 million square feet, and currently leases and manages a portfolio of nearly 10 million square feet throughout the southeastern U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Wheeler is responsible for directing all operations of the full-service real estate firm, including acquisitions, development and redevelopment, property management, and leasing operations as well as in-house accounting, legal and administrative teams. He has been with Sembler since 1997, when he joined the company as Vice President of Investments and moved on to serve as Chief Operating Officer.

Prior to joining Sembler, Wheeler spent a decade in commercial real estate finance with NCNB and then in the role of Vice President of Commercial Real Estate Lending with First Union National Bank.
