Will Conroy is a prominent attorney and investor from St. Petersburg, Florida who has been intimately involved in numerous high-profile projects and business success stories throughout the Southeast United States. At family-owned Backstreets Capital, Will combines his passion for helping businesses succeed and creating impactful projects with his number-one priority: Family. As an equity partner at one of Tampa Bay’s largest and most distinguished law firms, Johnson Pope, Will has decades of experience handling a broad range of complex commercial real estate and corporate issues for clients including developers, private equity funds, family-owned businesses and more. As an experienced corporate investor, Will has a noteworthy portfolio of real estate projects – having worked on everything from single-parcel developments to mixed-use projects and land-use changes – as well as operating businesses including a trust company, a bank, a production contractor, hoteliers and numerous private equity firms. He has owned and managed Landguard Title Services for the past 10 years and he serves as outside General Counsel to numerous family offices throughout Florida. Of all his accomplishments, Will is most proud of his family – his wife Stacy and their three children. As a Managing Director with Cushman & Wakefield’s Industrial Services Team in Tampa Bay, Lisa Ross brings extensive market knowledge and dynamic expertise to her role representing landlords, investors and occupiers in their industrial real estate interests. With a focus on landlord representation, Lisa and her partner Trey Carswell lead leasing efforts for over 12 million square feet, including many of Tampa Bay’s premier industrial developments and logistics parks. Together, Lisa and Trey represent a wide variety of owners, from smaller investment groups to global institutional owners with large portfolios. Her client list includes such notable names as Link Logistics, LBA Logistics, EastGroup Properties, , MetLife Real Estate Investors, ProLogis Trust and Blackstone. Ted Starkey is a Senior Managing Director/Partner for Osprey Capital, responsible for Origination and Underwriting new investments, with a primary focus on the Florida markets. Mr. Starkey is also a member of the Executive Leadership at Osprey Capital. Mr. Starkey has 34 years of Florida commercial real estate lending experience, including the last 23 years as Wells Fargo’s Tampa CRE Office Manager, with responsibilities including relationship management and origination, underwriting and referral of CRE loans, treasury management, and various capital markets solutions. Industry and Civic involvement University of Florida’s Bergstrom Center for Real Estate Studies (Advisory Board Member for 15 years, UF Trends Conference Chair, Executive Committee), Tampa Real Estate Investments Council (Past President and Advisory Board Member), Past NAIOP Board Member and past panel speaker for ICSC, NMHC, REIC, NAIOP, ULI, Tampa Bay Heart Ball (Executive Committee Member), Tampa Downtown Partnership (Board Member 2008-2015) Mr. Starkey received his BA and MBA in Finance from Indiana University. Craig Sher is a well-respected business leader, with more than 40 years of experience running and advising successful companies and providing leadership to large and small non-profit organizations. In recent years, Craig has shifted his focus to investments made through his family-run Backstreets Capital as well as providing leadership to other independent businesses. Craig retired in 2019 as Executive Chairman of the well-known real estate group, The Sembler Company where he worked for 35 years. While real estate has been central to Craig’s success and professional pursuits, he is passionate about the importance of effective leadership and committed to applying his decades of experience to support professional and practical discussion of board management, governance and operations with a focus on family-operated and owned businesses.
