This presentation will address the issues and concerns raised when applying the principals of cryptocurrency and blockchain to traditional real estate transactions.  Advances in technology and the shrinking of the world have led to legitimate privacy concerns.  Some believe that the use of cryptocurrencies can protect their privacy.  However, the use of cryptocurrencies in real estate transactions raises concerns because of its anonymity and other characteristics that some view as benefits.  Blockchain advocates tout the use of blockchain for land records; however, that use faces numerous obstacles that this course will examine.
